People also come here often to enjoy those delicious dishes. One such delicious dish is also from Burhanpur district of the state. Where samosas are made from bananas. The samosas made from banana here are so delicious that along with eating them, people also order them on auspicious occasions. Women are doing the work of making these samosas in the district. This group of 12 women is making and selling samosas from bananas.
When the team of Local 18 talked to Asha Kethwas of Ram-Ram Group, she told that we have been running the group in village Jhiri of Burhanpur district for the last four and a half years. Women are making banana samosas and selling them. People like our samosa made from banana and homemade masala so much that they order it on auspicious occasions. We are also running Didi Cafe in Asirgarh. Where more than 100 samosas are sold daily. The weight of one samosa is 75 grams. Whose price is Rs 15. Due to which these women are also getting employment.
Group was formed on the information received from Livelihood Mission
We were unemployed women as there was no work in the village. She used to do only household work. When we got information about Livelihood Mission group in 2019, we 12 women gathered and formed a group. Now we have been getting work for the last four and a half years. Due to which we are also able to generate employment.
